Monsoon Night Sky Star Walk
The monsoon season brings dramatic skies and occasional clear windows that reveal a stunning night sky washed clean by rain. Join us for a special monsoon star walk where we explore the summer constellations, track planets, and discuss how light pollution affects seasonal astronomical observations.
Highlights
- Identifying key summer constellations: Scorpius, Sagittarius, and the Summer Triangle
- Observing Jupiter and Saturn through high-powered telescopes
- Understanding the Milky Way core — visible (weather permitting) in unpolluted skies
- Guided walk through the trails with stops for sky observation
- Discussion on light pollution's impact on amateur astronomy in India
Important Notes
This event is weather-dependent. In case of heavy rain, the event will be rescheduled, and registered participants will be notified via email and WhatsApp. Please wear waterproof shoes and carry a rain jacket. Mosquito repellent is recommended.
