Full Moon Observation Night: Buck Moon
Join Save Darkness for our monthly full moon observation event as we witness the magnificent Buck Moon rise over the horizon. Named after the time when male deer begin growing their new antlers, the Buck Moon of July is one of the most striking full moons of the year.
What to Expect
- Guided moonrise observation with telescopes and binoculars
- Detailed lunar surface exploration — craters, maria, and mountain ranges
- Discussion on how moonlight affects nocturnal wildlife behavior
- Interactive session on light pollution and its impact on our view of the night sky
- Night sky photography tips and a short astrophotography workshop
